Every Go Seek show takes the children on a
musical journey filled with lots of interaction and fun learning!
The Let's Pretend Show begins with an introduction
of the group Go Seek, followed by an introduction of each performer/character,
Keren and Tizzy.
The children are involved early in the show
when they have to help Tizzy find Keren as they play Hide and Seek.
The Children are all eager to "jump, clap and spin around!"
to the Go Seek Theme Song. Lots of singing and dancing follows.
Tizzy talks about going to the fruit market
and having to cross the busy road. Keren reminds her that you have
to THINK before you cross and they sing about road safety, emphasizing
the motto "STOP, WAIT and WALK!"
Keren invites Tizzy to go the beach, however
Tizzy wants to go skiing at the snow. The two characters sing about
what they need to take with them on their outings and the audience
sings along and copies the actions.
Next, the Go Seek circus comes to town! Keren
is the ringmaster whilst Tizzy pretends to be a funny clown. The
children have lots of fun joining in and waving to the performers!
After this Tizzy gets the "sneezes!".
Keren brings her some tissues and they try all sorts of different
ways to get rid of them!
Keren talks about an amazing dream she had
and teaches Tizzy and the children what to do so that they can
go on adventures in their dreams. Keren points out that if you wish
and believe, your dreams can take you anywhere!
There is much excitement when the postman arrives
with some mail from Strawberry Sue and Strawberry Sam who invite
everyone to their party. There are special instructions on how to
get to the party, which the performers and the children have to
follow!
Once at the party, there's lots of energy and
funky music. The children are asked to copy many dance moves which
are specially designed to facilitate physical coordination and movement.
The children are introduced to reggae music
and are asked to sing along whilst beating on their pretend drums.
The next segment in the Go Seek show encourages
children to be nice to one other. A song using the metaphor "a
bad apple with a worm stuck in his head" aims to explain that
children can be mean or angry for many different reasons. This song
helps children to understand that these reasons may not be the fault
of the child.
The children are then taken on a wild journey
to the zoo, with many actions to copy.
The audience thinks about all the things they
can be when they grow up. This leads to a song about different and
exciting professions.
Keren and Tizzy talk about their favourite
seasons. This leads to their song "raindrops and sunshine".
After lots of singing, dancing, story
telling and fun-filled interaction, Go Seek has to go. The audience
claps and cheers as Keren and Tizzy say good-bye.
